KCON is the first ever large-scale convention dedicated to ‘All Things Hallyu’ and was created by CJ E&M, Korea’s entertainment giant with film, television, music, concert, and game businesses. The convention was launched in 2012 to establish an annual flagship event that will improve the American K-Pop and Hallyu fan experience by providing a way for fans to connect with each other as well as artists and professionals in the K-pop industry. As an intern, I worked with the design team in creating the brand theme of 2015's KCON: Ignite Your Feelz. Colorful paint splatter graphics were chosen to represent the different "feelz" that fans feel for their favorite artists and how KCON is about bringing the fan community together through this annual event. My role as a designer consisted of creating brand graphics and applying them through different platforms and collateral such as web banners, advertisements, social media graphics, and merchandise.
